Because a number of people asked for a hit on sports biographies suitable for ninth grade readers, I will post what little information I received. Some enterprising publishers should see a market for this kind of book. For what it's worth, here's the info. 1. One person said she had ordered some bios from Gumdrop Press. They were about 100 pages. I looked up the address of that publisher, faxed them a note asking of more info, but have not heard anything. 2. I received a brochure from Enslow Publishers the other day, advertising what they call "Sports Great Books," about a dozen at 64 pages, aimed at grades 4-10 but for reluctant readers.
