Hi all. I have an opportunity to make several points with some senior english students. The teacher has talked to me, I know what the assignment is, and he will give me some time to show them some things. It is a variation of an assignment he did last year and we found that we needed to use the internet as my resources weren't enough. The project concerns The Canterbury Tales. I plan to spend a little time showing them how using a directory of a search engine and how it can get them better hits. I also plan to give them a short list of some sites that I found that really have what they need (which is NOT the text of the tale or a retelling of the tale). It occurred to me that I could also make a point about web evaluation if I could show them a BOGUS Chaucer site, or at least one that appears to be good but really isn't. Do any of you know of one that I could use, or one that could be used in this setting. Thanks much in advance. Debbie Stafford Gen. H.H.
