I am looking for suggestions for an efficient model for blending or replacing the old and newly possible practices for efficient and effective cataloging management. Is marking up the old Sears heading book still a recommended practice when cataloging is done in several locations? Is there a good reviewed list of cataloging tools like Precision One with designations as to whether they use Sears or LC headings, particuliarly for children? If catalogers checked our own union catalog for subject headings by year of acquisition would not that be as effective a way to check editing?
