My personal theory is that the sudden influx of hormones at this age
short circuits the cerebrial cortex completely! [Thus my offering of
"Temporary Insanity" as a defense for miscreants that I am talking to in
my office.]

The good news is there is a reason for their crazy behavior, the bad
news is that is doesn't go away until they are juniors or seniors in
high school!

They are however, very enthusiastic and passionate about things that
really catch their attention.
