I think we should report any sightings of good articles about school libraries or librarians, especially those not in our usual library publications. The Spring 1999 issue of Curriculum Update, a newsletter from the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development focuses on "The Stories of Their Lives: Changing Conversations, Making Connections Through Literature." One of the articles is "The Role of the School Library Media Specialist," and starts by stating, "When it comes to teaching literature, a school's library media specialist can be an invaluable resource," and goes on to interview Suzanne Manczuk, the LMS at Community Middle School in Plansboro, NJ.
