Stand-Alone Scanner

We have had difficulty this year with our scanner connected to a computer
and came across an advertisement for the ImageDeck Stand-Alone Scanner in
the May/June 1999 issue of Multimedia Schools. Is anyone familiar with this
type of scanner?  If so, any information you could share would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!
