Hi all. My principal has gotten me involved in the Mars Millenium Project
with the gifted and talented teacher at my school. We will be collaborating
all of next year with the third, fourth and fifth grade students on this
project. I am very excited and last night, we watched the US Dept of
Education Town Meeting which discussed the specifics. In case you would
like more information the website is www.mars2030.net.

I was wondering....
Is there anyone else out there who will also be participating in the Mars
Millenium Project?
Does anyone have good resources on Mars for third, fourth and fifth graders?
I'm looking for science books (as current as possible) and/or appropriate
chapter books to share in the library about Mars or space travel in general.
Can anyone give me some insight and/or suggestions into the collaborative
process as they have used it? Unfortunately, this library is not flexible
and I am a prep time for teachers. The G&T teacher is very committed to
this project as is my principal. The principal will be trying to free up my
time to work with the students with the other teacher all year long. Any
suggestions?

As always, thanks for your input.
