Hi all,

As I may have mentioned before, I home teach kids who get thrown out of
school for behavioral problems. I have to teach the entire curriculum even
though I am only certified in english (and I do not speak Spanish--you should
see those lessons, what a hoot).

I desperately need to know two things by 11:30 today.

1. Who was the American minister to France during the Louisiana Purchase?

It has 11 letters in it. I have the following letters.
                                                _ _ _ _ N _ S T _ _ _

2. The name of a tribe of friendly natives Lewis & Clark met on the Missouri
river.

I had thought it was the Shoshone, but that's not it because it has 6 letters
in it. I have the following letters.

                                                _ A _ D _ _

The Social Studies teacher gives me these darn crosswords to have this kid
do, no answer key, and I combed through the textbook, and it's not in there.
I swear this man is a sadist.
