Like Vicki, I would like for Peter to continue to keep us informed about
this and other issues which affect us in libraries ultimately.  It is
very helpful to have the "collective wisdom" in responding to questions
and allegations which confront us from the community at large.  I agree,
Peter, that it was time to halt the discussion.  However, please post
additional information which would be helpful.  Since it is the end of
the year, I applaud Peter for all the work involved in keeping this
listserve active.  It is very valuable to librarians!  Sue McGown,
