Target: retirement donation

I'll be leaving a long-term position in a school which is now grades 3-5.
Any suggestions as to what books would be a meaningful  gift for me to leave,
something that would be read and appreciated by the students?  I have some
titles in mind, am leaning toward fiction, but would welcome any advice from
this experienced and literate group.   Thanks for your help.
