Grant Wood's American Gothic is parodied in many forms -- I am looking for parodies of that particular work which might appear in picture books. There is a 1/2 parody (meaning only one of the figures is in the picture) in "Meanwhile Back at the Ranch" by Trina Hakes Noble, illus. by Tony Ross; and I recall mention of others over the years -- does anyone know of the inclusion of a parody of the American Gothic in ANY children's book. Any clues will be appreciated -- I'll track down the details. Thank you very much. Sharron Sharron L. McElmeel <mcelmeel@5thseason.net> Writer/Editor 3000 N. Center Point Rd.
