Our district library staff gathers for meeting and workshop sessions on a
monthly basis for the first time this year.  We've invited the public
librarians that work with students from our schools to join us for the
workshop sessions of these meetings.

Our last meeting one session was presented by one of the public librarians on
book mending.  It was a great refresher for some and learning experience for
others.  You might want to check with your local public library to see if
they have someone who would be willing to meet with your group.

The only shock was when she'd pull a book from her box of examples ... look
at it and say "replace" ... when it was one we would have to repair!!

This working relationship with our public counterparts has really been great!
 I'd suggest it to anyone.
