HIT: Microfiche

Dear New LM_NET friends,
        Thank you all for your quick response to my Microfiche question.
There was an uncontested feeling that due to : cost of materials, care of
equipment, availability of periodical lit., and space concerns that most of
you have discontinued its use or at least stopped buying new fiche or
repairing machines.   So, I will join you in allowing a dignified death to
this outdated technology, although some of you did suggest an immediate
assisted suicide.

One important piece of info.............many of you suggested UMI Proquest
(rather than Electric Library) and spoke highly of its usefulness.

This was a first time use of LM_NET for me..........your quick, concise
response made me look well informed and connected.  I have learned a lot
over the past week just reading the concerns and issues of others.  Thanks,
this is cool!  Also great to say HI to some NH friends and neighbors.  Have
