Have the label be 3 lines long with the main number on top, the decimal in
the middle, and the cutter on the bottom.  While numbers with longer =
decimal
places than 3 digits are still a problem, they are still easier to get in
order by the first three places of the decimal.....

    .2          .123        .2      .79
    Wex     Bar         Gri     Lam


This has been the convention for libraries using LC classification for a =
long time. I've always wondered why Dewey libraries haven't followed suit. =
Of course, those who use ABRIDGED Dewey generally don't have many very =
long numbers anyway.
