Unlurking Reading Teacher

Hello,

I have enjoyed reading the ideas of others who love literacy, language,
and literature!  I am, however, not a Library Media Specialist; I am a
Reading Specialist.  I have taught elementary school and college teacher
education courses for twenty years.  Two years ago, I left my university
teaching position to develop a reading-writing web site for parents and
teachers.  Since I've always worked closely with the Library Media
Specialist in my school, it was natural for me to look for a group of
this type.  I've enjoyed reading your questions and comments.  I've
responded to children's literature questions privately and look forward
to reading-writing questions when (and if) they arise!

Thank you for turning kids on to reading!   And......thank you for
letting me join in!
