TARGET ELEM nonfiction/fiction pairs

Hi Everyone,

I am working with grade 2 on the difference between fiction and
nonfiction books by reading a nonfiction book about a topic followed by
a fiction book about the same topic. Thanks to a suggestion I uncovered
in the archives, I started with

Rosie, a visiting dog's story / by Stephanie Calmenson ; photographs by
Justin Sutcliffe c1994    followed by    Officer Buckle and Gloria: by
Peggy Rathmann 1995

Both books were very well received by the second graders.  Does anyone
have any more titles of similar pairs that second graders might enjoy?
