I have a very narrow search, and am not sure exactly where to begin.... THis is for our school psychologist. Problem: Pole with purple martin house on top is being raided by snakes who eat the eggs. Question: What size pole would prevent snakes from climbing? He read very small ( in circumference) pole would prevent snake from climbing, but has not found that to be true. He wonders if there is a ratio of snake length to pole circumference which would enable him to solve the snake problem. He has found some information on exotic snakes, but of course is interested in Texas snakes, since they are the ones eating the eggs.. -- Mary Croix Ludwick, MLS B.B.
