Carolyn:  I am also a newly elected member of our New Jersey district's
fledgling 100 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT HOURS in 5 YEARS committee.  I would
appreciate any info you receive.

As our district plows through the paperwork, I'll be glad to forward any
statements we develop.  Currently our superintendent has sent HIS thoughts
to the BOARD ATTORNEY to look over.  He obviously didn't agree with NJEA's
recommendation with keeping the professional development statement GENERAL
so that it would accommodate the needs of all staff.
