Gen: Web Sites: First Days of School and Student Search Conne

Hi, Group!
I've been preparing this summer to assume a new job at Cedar Hill Middle
School. I have formally been librarian at Westside Elementary for 21
years!  I'm very excited about the change and have had a good time
making a library web site for my new school. I thought you might want to
share with your teachers a couple of the web pages I have made.

One is "Student Search Connections"
http://polk.ga.net/kidsearch/kidsearch.html -- a group of filtered
search engines designed for middle schoolers. (If you're familiar with
the Kidsearch site I did for elementary parents this one is a new
improved version.)

The other is "Teacher Tips for the First Days of
School".http://polk.ga.net/chms/media/firstday It's a collection of
pretty cool links  -- especially for new teachers -- that contain advice
by veteran teachers for starting the year off right.

All of you who make web pages know how valuable feedback is. I have
posted pages here before and your comments have enabled me to go back
and tinker and make them much stronger than my efforts alone ever could.
In other words--your advice for improvement is very welcome!
