Netters, Thanks for all the suggestions about finding out how many pages will print when printing from the Internet or from electronic encyclopedias. While many people recommended a cut and paste to a word processing program, this was not an acceptable solution because of the time involved to accomplish it. Many also suggested that we use print preview, which isn't available on our computer or Internet program (IE4.0). Today I visited a computer lab and worked with one of the county computer trainers and it looks like my problem would be solved by installing Netscape on the student computers. It DOES have print preview and using it would accomplish our goal with a minimum of wasted time. There were also several suggestions to print from page 1 to page 1; look at the designation-page 1 of ?; and it would tell you how many pages the entire article would take. For electronic encyclopedias, the best suggestion was to use the page down key-2 presses of page down=1 page printed. Haven't tried this, but it sounds pretty good. Once again - Thanks to all who "cared enough to send the very best" suggestions, Beth Pounds Librarian Beasley Middle School 1100 S. 18th Street Palatka, FL 32177 pounds_b@popmail.firn.edu =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
