Using the Mavica with a Macintosh is extremly easy.  If it has Quicktime
or Picture Viewer as part of the system, all you need to do is double
click the picture to open it.  I use a shareware program called JPEGView
that is very simple.  Again, just double click to open the picture.
With JPEGView, you can make a slideshow in 5 min.  You can also insert
the photos into ClarisWorks/Appleworks documents because the picture are
in jpg format.  Let me know if I can help you any more.
