Hello Friends, One of the libraries in my educational cooperative is on the second floor of a school. The floor has a slight dip in it now. They will be adding another schools books on a short term - one year or so - basis and need to know for the architects how much weight a bookshelf holds or how much do say 3 feet of children's books weigh. The architects are trying to determine how much weight is created by the books and then can the floor hold it or what reinforcement will be needed. We have no reference material that addresses this issue and are hoping for some help from the greater good of librarians. Thanks in advance.
