Dear List serv members,
A new position has been created in one of our schools in our
district. This position is supposely called Computer Tech or
ComputerTechnolgist. The 20 hours at this time being used was taken from
the library clerk's position, which is now 20 hours(use to be 40 hours).
Since the job was never posted no one seems to know what the job
description is , the duties, pay, education, etc. I have been told the
person must have an associates degree in computers(2 year degree)(rumor).
I have been asked by several concerned persons, to ask the LM_NET listserv
members the following questions: What would the job description be for a
Computer Technologist with an associates degree in computers?-Would they be
teaching students( a whole class) by themselves without a certified teacher
in the room? - Is this legal? - What would the starting pay be-with and
without benefits?- Would they only work the student days or would they work
a longer calendar? And ansers to any questions I didn't ask.

Is a Computer Technoligist(with an associated degree in computers)
the same as someone called Computer Resource Technology Specialist?

What ever help you can give, we would be grateful. I want to thank
all who answer now.

I know this is late, but thank you to all who replied to my
question way back on starting school after labor day. All of your
different start dates were an eye opener. Thank you.
