Greetings!
A fellow librarian collects mermaid/merman objects and, while visiting
Texas, often came across a figure of a mermaid/merman holding a
watermelon-ish object. She suspects that the figure has a
folklore/mythology base in either Native American/Mayan/Mexican culture, but
was not able to ask anyone about it at the time.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Can you give me any leads for
tracking it down?
TIA
