Please respond directly to requestor... >===== Original Message From Lara Weigand <lweigand@worthington.lib.oh.us> ===== Hello everyone; I have one of those infamous "books read in childhood" questions. The patron remembers the plot, but not the title. The story is told from the point of view of a little girl, who now lives in the US after fleeing Lithuania during World War 2. (apparently, you don't find this out until midway thru the book). The girl hid jewels in her doll when the family fled. At some point, her friends discover the jewels in her doll and either realize what an ordeal she went through fleeing the Nazis, or they now understand why she and her family came to the US (I'm not sure which is correct). Does this ring a bell with anyone? Please reply to Lweigand@worthington.lib.oh.us thanks!
