My own son (shudder) came home from school one day last year
and plopped himself and his books down on the floor in the living
room (inspite of having been told not to do that). Our dog -- a dog that
has NEVER pottied in the house -- walked over, sniffed the books, picked
out the (brand new) snake book, and lifted his leg (much to our horror and
dismay). I sent a check and note asking if they wanted me to send the
book... that I had it sealed in plastic. The polite response was NO
THANK YOU!

The views I express are mine and mine alone.
