Library Cards

I use library cards with my grade school students. During the beginning of
the year, we review book care rules and when they sign their cards, they are
agreeing to adhere to the rules. In life we sign many agreements. I see the
library card as a simple contract that students sign and another "real life"
experience that prepares them for life in our world.
