Each week I am required to submit a summary of the work I have done each day for the past week to the assistant principal, my evaluator this year. Last week one of my entries was that I had helped a certain teacher to do research. When the summary was returned, the comment "-on what?" had been made after my entry. Is it ethical to provide this information to an administrator? Does the administrator have a need, or a right, to know what a teacher is researching? The rationale I have been given for this is that the administration needs to know what is going on in the library. I would appreciate any comments and/or advice on how to handle this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Don Korte Columbus Middle School Columbus, NE 68601 402-563-7060 "Fear is the beginning of wisdom" W.T.
