GEN: attention: new librarians

Welcome to the profession...
Many of your questions are perennial ones, so allow me to suggest that yo=
u
check the archives, where you will find that many relevant answers have
already been posted (even in years before).

If you're going to be teaching kids how to do research, you will learn to=
 ask
the kids -- "where have you looked already?" during their quests for
information.  The same applies here, with *your* questions.  Do some rese=
arch
on your own -- either in the archives, or even in the professional resour=
ces
(print and online) that you should have learned about in your library sch=
ool
classes.   Then, when you ask a question on LM_Net, tell us where you hav=
e
*already* looked, so that repeating the obvious answers won't be necessar=
y. =

(and so that you won't appear clueless, which makes us veterans wonder wh=
at
school you went to.)

L
LM_Net posts.
