I have some information on lexiles that I got from a workshop this past
Spring.  It was developed through several years of research and is handled
by Meta Metrics.  The web site is www.lexile.com

Harcourt Brace, the vendor that provides the standardized achievement test
used in California also correlates students test scores on the SAT-9 with
the lexile framework.  I also found several school districts in Florida that
were using it.

I can post a one page information sheet I put together to the listserv if
people are interested.
