Dear Jan,

I have been a librarian for 13 years. I tried buying the records in the
beginning, but they were of such poor quality, that I quickly stopped. Since
I have taken cataloging on an undergraduate and graduate level, I decided to
do my own cataloging. I have done my own retrospective conversion of my
collection.

I have Winnebego's Spectrum for automation, but I still intend to do my own
cataloging. I like it because I get to know my collection better that way.
When requests are made for resources in the library, I can serve them
better. I can also organize the collection better to serve curriculum needs.
