well, rowling did say that the reading and interest level would go up with
each new book as harry progressed thru school.  maybe that will have to
happen with the readers as they grow older.  our Redwall and Tolkien lovers
(5th/6th grades here) have no problem with the length and depth of those
books.  i think it's a rather novel concept, pun intended.
