Re: Gen: Read Across America Day

This was a great day in our high school, too.  My co-librarian, secretary and I
all dressed up like "The Cat in the Hat" which invoked smiles on even the
"coolest" high schoolers.   Many teachers required students to bring books to
read during their classes for an hour of non-stop reading.  An assistant
principal read excerpts from Dr. Seuss's works during the announcements.  And we
took about 60 students across campus to an elementary and an early childhood
center to read picture books to the children.  Big kids and little kids loved
it.
