We had a request from a parent this week for the title of a book she remembers from some years ago. It is an American Historial Fiction title (she thinks it might have been in a series). It is set in upstate New York or perhaps the mid west (I think we can safely assume it could be anywhere). She thinks there was a character, a young man, named Paul. There was an Indian Perhaps there was a character named Nathaniel. Does this ring any bells? My first thought, on later reflection, was "Sign of the Beaver" by Eliz George Speare (and I will fly that by her), but it is set in Maine, the boy is named Matt and the Indian lad is named Atlean. No sign of a Nathaniel that I recall. And it is not a series title. TIA.
