TECH: System providers

We live in an isolated area and were every excited about our new internet
access last year.  We have discovered we live where internet access is a
nightmare.  We have been using a satalite system called Optistreams, but the
access is extremly unreliable and needs restarting each time you want
dependable access.  Supposedly, the company has fixed the problem, but many
of us wonder.

We have to have a high speed wireless system - satelite, digital, whatever.
The cable company in the nearby town doesn't consider it would their
financial while to bring cable out to  our area.

What do all you wonderful folks recommend?
