Esteemed and thoughtful readers of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Please stop reading this message if you have not finished the book. / / / / / My sister-in-law posed this question and I could not answer her: If the characters emerging from Harry's wand during the duel with Voldemort showed up in reverse order of their death, i. e. first Cedric, then Frank Bryce the caretaker, then Bertha Jorkins, followed by his father and then finally his mother, how does this jive with Lily seemingly surviving after the death of James. Wasn't Lily the one who saved Harry after James had already been killed. Therefore Lily's death should have been more recent than James'. Any thoughts? Thanks.
