Yes, I can. In the UK school librarians are not normally teachers and
are paid significantly less, sometimes horrendously so. Even those
who do have a teacher qualification are on a different lower scale
than teachers. After 15 years in my present job, with another 5 in a
previous school, I am now paid less than a teacher with similar
qualifications and 7 years experience would get. And the appalling
thing is that I am relatively well paid by UK standards.
