TARGET:Classroom sound amplification systems?

Dear LM_NETTERS,

Does anyone have experience with classroom sound systems?  We are looking to
outfit our classrooms with sound amplification systems, but the one unit we
have in use is unreliable.  It is a clip-on type, the kind presenters use
for presentations.  However, the teacher who uses it reports that it becomes
unreliable with use, because in the classroom situation it has to be turned
on to address the entire class, and turned off for one-on-one conversations.
Apparently this device isn't meant to be turned on and off repeatedly.
Also, it seems to be designed for men who wear suits because it's hard to
find a place on a woman's outfit to clip it.

Anybody have a product to recommend?
