Season's Greetings Colleagues, I hope everyone is having a great holiday. I ask this question, more out of curiosity, then for any work related reason. Inquiring minds want to know and all that. If I purchase a painting - say a beautiful landscape - and later want to use it on my computer as wall paper or on my web site in some way, can I simply scan it and use it? What rights do I, as the owner of the painting have? What rights does the artist retain? Does it make a difference if the art work is a one-off painting or one of many copies of a print? Thank you for your help. -- ================================================================ John Goldsmith Fraser Valley Distance Education School 49520 Prairie Central Road, Chilliwack, B.C.
