Geography Project

I have a Geography teacher who is wanting to do a nine week research project
with an advanced student (this is for a 9th grade class).  Any ideas?  His
other students have a project where they make up a continent and place it
somewhere in the world and it must match the areas climate, animals etc.
They make a report, map, flag, and trifold display of their continent.  Does
anyone have any suggestions for this advanced student?
