HIT: (cost of) Converting records from Winnebago DOS to Spectrum

Thank you to the 20+ people who sent me responses to this.

My original query:
If you upgraded from the DOS version of Winnebago to Spectrum in the past
two years, I'd like to know the following:
Did you (have to) send your current records (at the time, that is, those
already in the DOS program) to Winnebago so they could be read by Spectrum?
If "yes", how much were you charged for this?

I got 21 responses about this.

Eighteen people said they did not send in records:
Eleven of those people said they did the conversion themselves.
Seven  said that the tech people at their school or district did it, or that
they themselves did it but they were tech savvy.

Three people said they sent their records into Winnebago.
I paid $500.
2 didn't pay because they were having lots of computers done (district
wide).

One person said they paid $500 to have a Winnebago tech come and do it at
their school -- took about 3-4 hours.

I think everyone who responded moved to Spectrum before Winnebago and
Sagebrush merged.  I think that is the key.... I'll be following up on this
situation.
