Valerie... I think that's a bigger issue than it appears at first. Calling E books "Easy" limits their appeal to a large number of students who would find them wonderfully interesting. Many older students avoid the Easy shelves at all costs. I'm beginning to shelve the Everyone books at more disbursed locations; hopefully, upper grade students won't feel so much pressure to avoid them. I also make sure older kids see me reading them and use them for book talks with the higher grades.
