Two of my teenage "fantasy" fans were wowed by this book, and are still
breaking the code that runs along the bottom of each page. I'm not a
fantasy fan myself (I didn't really like HP), and contrary to Rosemary's
take on the NY Times Book Review, I interpreted it as a positive. Library
Journal, School Library Journal, and Booklist also gave it good reviews. I
don't think it is suitable for elementary, though. The website is
incredible, and worth looking at. It includes the first two chapters of the
book. www.artemisfowl.com.
