Hello, I have been a member of the list for about one year. Typically, I lurk & learn a lot. I have always been impressed with the breadth and depth of the help provided, so here is my first request for help. I have been asked to research writing contests for grades 6 - 8 (middle school). I am in the process of doing that through GOOGLE, Librarians' Index to the Internet and LM-Net's archives. In the meantime, if any of you have experience with writing contests that are particularly well-run / fun / interesting for students / productive, would you please send me details off-list? I will compile the replies and post a hit. TIA for your help.
