challenged book: Angus, thongs and full-frontal snogging

Hello everyone,
From a discussion earlier this school year on LM_NET my interest was piqued
by a referral of a new book for middle schooler's called Angus, thongs and
full-frontal snogging : confessions of Georgia Nicolson by British author
Louise Rennison. I got the reviews and then I ordered it for our library. I
haven't read it. But one of our 6th graders did, at least halfway, and now
her mother has requested the dreaded "Request for Reconsideration" form.

I have the reviews from Booklist and School Library Journal. The book itself
has a medal of some sort on it indicating that it must have won an award or
been acknowledged for something. I haven't been able to look into that
because I don't have the book back yet.

Do any of you have any knowledge of this book or can you point me to any
other sources? I can't even remember the subject heading of the original
letters from the fellow LM-NETters so that I can find it in our archives.

I will keep you all informed as this progresses.
