When your orig post came in, I really liked the quote and did a quick search (Google using "" for first 10 words. Found lots of pages quoting the quote. However, I noticed no one cited WHERE or WHEN it was written! Not limited to this quote. Whole pages of quotes, including library sites. I know it is common to note just the author of quotes, but usually there will be a full cite somewhere in the collection. Seems like that would be a point to make about bibliography instruction..... -- Robert Eiffert, Librarian at Image Elementary Vancouver WA http://www.ima.egreen.wednet.edu/library_resources/kidresource.html beiffert@groupwise.egreen.wednet.edu > From: Jean Taylor <taylje@UNION.K12.MO.US> > Organization: Union High School Library > Reply-To: Jean Taylor <taylje@UNION.K12.MO.US> > Date: Wed, 2 May 2001 14:09:56 -0500 > To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU > Subject: HIT: Quotation > > Thanks to all who found the source of the wonderful quote about books; I > tried the quotation sites but not a google keyword search.
