ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT





The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Information Studies seeks an
experienced faculty member to teach and conduct research in the areas of
School Library/Media Administration and Educational Technology and to serve
as a liaison between the UWM-SOIS and the community of school/media
specialists.



QUALIFICATIONS:



Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science, or a
related field, have teaching experience in an accredited library and
information science program, and have a demonstrated record of publication.
Previous experience as a school library media specialist is preferred for
this tenure track position.



APPLICATION DEADLINE:  First priority will be given to applications received
by December 15, 2001 and continue until the position is filled.



STARTING DATE: January 2, 2002 or August 19, 2002



SALARY:  Minimum of $45,000 for the academic (9 month) year, plus generous
fringe benefits and optional summer teaching.
