Now I am asking for help for me. I still have to teach card catalog skills and have never been able to think of a way to make it initially fun or even very interesting. Does anyone have any good ideas for getting the basic facts to second/third graders (subject, title, & author cards; ignore A, An, & The at the beginning of a title, etc.) After they have the facts, we do some different activities, but that first introduction is so uninteresting for the kids AND me, if the truth be known. Any help would be appreciated. TIA (am I right in assuming that this means Thanks In Advance; just checking).
