I am not going to launch into a theoretical diatribe, but I am currently
reading "The Wind Singer" by William Nicholson (on the recommendation of a
parent who thoroughly enjoyed it) and I am wondering if the scenario
portrayed in Amaranth is a future outcome of the situation above.

If any one has read it, have you any comments?
