Instructional Media/Educational Resources Librarian

East Stroudsburg University is seeking a full time, continuing,
Instructor/Assistant Professor for the Kemp Library.  This is a nine-month,
tenure track position beginning in the Spring Semester 2002.
Responsibilities:  Successful candidate will work under the direct
supervision of the Library Director; manage the IM/ER Center and the
children's and young adult's literature collections; provide collection
development, bibliographic instruction and reference services in the areas
of pre-K through grade 12 resources, teacher education and instructional
technology; participate in the Reference Desk day, evening and weekend
schedule; perform community outreach and liaison activities as assigned; and
serve on committees as appropriate.  Requirements:  MLS from an ALA
accredited program; demonstrated knowledge of current information
technology, pre-K through grade twelve information literacy, children's and
young adult's literature and contemporary resources/issues in the field of
education; demonstrated experience in public service, outreach and teaching,
including bibliographic instruction.  Final determination will be based upon
successful interview, which may include a teaching demonstration.  Official
transcripts are required at time of employment.  Preferred:  Minimum three
years experience as an elementary or secondary school librarian; valid
Commonwealth of PA (or reciprocal) certification or licensure; knowledge of
privacy and copyright as pertains to technology utilization by educators;
ability to work in a team environment, and excellent interpersonal, written
and oral communication skills.  Send letter of application, resume,
